Trenchless Rehabilitation Project

Lakeview

The Greenwood School District engaged Mathis Plumbing Company to clear a sewer line blockage beneath the main hallway of Lakeview Elementary School and to evaluate persistent issues with line stoppages. After successfully clearing the obstruction, Mathis conducted a video inspection of the sewer lines and discovered significant corrosion in the cast iron pipes, including small holes and cracks.

Rather than proceeding with traditional excavation and replacement of the damaged pipe sections, the School District opted for a trenchless rehabilitation method. Mathis Plumbing descaled and thoroughly cleaned the affected line, then installed a structural inversion liner to repair the compromised areas. This lining not only resolved the immediate issues causing blockages but also reinforced the entire pipe length, effectively halting further deterioration and extending the service life of the system.

The project was completed during a school break, ensuring there was no disruption to school operations.
